VSware timetable training is going online

For schools, last month’s closures have had a huge impact and pose a great challenge for staff, students and their parents with daily routines upended and the curriculum interrupted. However, it seems that schools are certainly rising to the challenge. Student options for next year are being meticulously recorded, timetables are being tested and worked on and most impressively, teaching has continued, albeit in a new way.

Normally, April would be a really busy month for our trainers and consultants who travel around the country providing timetable and other types of training. Due to the restrictions that are now in place around the country however, and the uncertainty around when these will be lifted, we have cancelled all in-person training events that were due to happen up to and including May 29th.

With that said, we know that timetabling still needs to be done and we want to be there to support our schools in any way we can. For this reason, we are running a series of online training events to take the place of the ones that are now cancelled.

The price has been reduced to €100 ex vat per attendee and is booked in the same way as before, through eventbrite. Tickets can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.ie/o/vsware-7863237039 or by searching ‘VSware’ on eventbrite. Events listed as ‘Webinar’ are online events. A summary of available dates can be found here.

As these events will be held online via Google Hangouts, our approach is slightly different to that of our usual events. Each course will consist of a 2 hour lecture in the morning, followed by an individual one to one 30 minute session between the trainer and you. While it is not possible to complete a timetable file in this time, they will certainly be able to point you in the right direction.

Please click on these links to get a detailed summary of each of the events we are running; Day 1 Timetable Training, Day 2 Timetable Training and Timetable Refresher. Please note that you should only book into a Day 2 if you have already completed the Day 1 course. Here are some short instructions on how to access the webinar when you sign up.

Please note that if your school has booked in-school consultancy (where our trainer visits your school) during April or May, we do plan to go ahead with the dates as arranged by holding the training online instead, unless otherwise instructed by the school. Schools that have these bookings will be contacted individually to arrange this.
